The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions to your community.

SASSA might be rendering services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency said it's alarmed concerning the large variety of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your significant amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally functional office dedicated to service the sassa status check area every day. The service place designed for intervention encounters a superior inflow of possible beneficiaries, which makes it complicated with the sassa Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more means to empower the servicing of all shoppers and enhance entry to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
